In 1997 we "pickled a peck of peppers" in bottles of white vinegar. The 1st & 2nd bottles are cayenne chile peppers in white vinegar, the 3rd & 6th are some store bought peppercorns (dry, no vinegar), the 4th is cascabellas chile peppers in white vinegar, the 5th, 7th, & 8th are some herbs and chile peppers in white vinegar, the 9th (the last one, you can barely see it) is North Carolina Style "Vaunted Vinegar" Barbeque "Finishing Sauce" with some fresh cayenne chile peppers for extra heat.
We learned a lot about chile peppers and growing them from the book "The Pepper Garden" by Dave DeWitt and Paul W. Bosland.
